Burner for HLT???

Post by snakepie@hotmail.com » Sun Jun 02, 2013 8:18 pm

Hello all,
I have just bought an 80L stainless teel HLT with false bottom. I need a burner / burner set up to be able to get it to the boil and keep it there.I'm thinking a propane gas cannister (not sure what size) burner, regulator (not sure which one for the 80L HLT) and some sort of podium for the flame to come out of and the HLT to sit on. Could you suggest a cheap set up as I don't know where to look or start with this bit?

Cheers

Hi,

The Malt Miller now stocks various burners and accessories (not the gas though). Give him a shout.

For my 100ltr copper I use a gas propane burner which is supposed to give out 9.2Kw, I usually have a brew of about 65lts at the start and it boils fine.
hope that helps scale what you need
