The Brewery Room Build

Post by barneey » Thu Jul 25, 2013 7:30 pm

Still in the construction stage, hence the mess but at least things are beginning to come together at last, wont be long now until brew day.

I was worried that the control box would have looked to big in the room, turns out it`s the other way around and looks a little dwarfed by its neighbours  .

More picture to follow after some more progress....

Nope 4 pids and 2 timers, pids 1 hlt, 1 MT, 1 Rims, 1 boiler - start up timer for the HLT, brew day timer for everything else.

The brewery room has been in existence for over 2 years now and must have seen 5 boilers, 4 MT`s, 3 HLT`s, 3 conicals, 7 fridges, 30 odd corney kegs, and countless other fittings.

Its taken this amount of time to work out exactly what would be the best set up for me, (nearly upgraded to a 160lt HLT last week!).

Making pots was the easy part, the control panel build took over a year, and the Oak clads took time as well.

So definitely not going to build another brewery, mainly based on the size of the conical and kegerator.

EXCEPT might still build a one pot system ;)

As for the Red Flashing light - a bit of fun for the alarm side of things + the board based 22mm thing makes such a racket.
