Keg connectors

Post by graemet » Sat Jul 27, 2013 12:07 pm

I picked up a maxi cooler a few days ago, and it came with a cleaning bottle with Grundy connector on. Should iv standardise with Grundy based on the connector on the bottle or go Sankey and get another bottle? I'm going to have four kegs on the go and another connector to fill and clean.
Fermenting: Russian Imperial Stout experiment, Raspberry turbo cider, Wilko Rose wine, Plum wine

Keg1: Coopers Euro Lager

Keg2: Empty :(

I would say it depends on how you will use the kegs, fill , drink & clean with the spear in place or fill and clean with spear removed.

If the latter option how easy are the grundy spears removed? If its easy enough reason not to go with the Grundy`s, also might be cheaper to obtain on the second hand market. If the first option is your prefered method of cleaning cant see any spear being a problem to use.

BTW I might have a few Grundy connectors spare for sale.
