maxi cooler parts

Post by graemet » Tue Jul 30, 2013 10:06 pm

don't suppose any of you know where i can get a replacement for the red overflow bung on a maxi cooler? i've yet to test the one i got a few days ago, as it has no overflow bung, and i'd rather not flood the place if i can avoid it

lost mine too... my solution was a length of automotive silicone tube i managed to fit onto the overflow.
when filling i drop the silicone tube into a bucket, when done pouring out, i just lift up the tube and wedge it in place pointing up.

actually 8mm id silicone tube off ebay squeezed into the drain hole not onto.. took a bit of wiggling to get it to sit in without a kink
fyi automotive silicone tube ISNT foodsafe :(
thanks for the kind words but not genius, genius would have been sitting the thing so the drain and pipes were accessible not backed up against a wall, and not under a shelf i needed to drill a hole in so i could fill the chiller..
