Hi
is there any way of connecting a Halfords disposable welding gas cylinder to a King Keg. I have a bottom tap one with the small 8g cylinder type pin valve in the lid.
I was thinking along the lines of using the disposable co2 gas cylinders connected to the lid via some kind of valve with a tyre valve fitted as well to check the pressure in the barrel using a tyre guage. What is the max pressure these kegs can hold or what should they be kept at. I usually prime any beer inside with about 85g of sugar. Could I connect the co2 cylinder through the tyre valve?
any thoughts?
cheers
Lindsay

Have you got a regulator?

No I don't have any of the items yet except the King Keg. I would need the co2 cylinder plus the regulator that goes with it and some gas line, it is how I connect it to the cap that I'm not sure how to go about.

co2 cylinder> regulator>gasline> gasline> connector(depending on keg connection)> keg
you may need to change the valve on the barrel as i dont know if there is such a thing as a s30 connector.

Cornie Disconnect to Pressure Barrel

Alternatively, I use a tyre inflator to top up CO2 on some minikegs & plastic PBs via
metal tyre valves.
NB: The cheaper rubber ones reek!

Like the idea of the tyre inflator into the car valves. Would I be able to connect it to the gas line that connects to the regulator on the welding cylinder? It's a matter of working out all the bits going together if possible to make this work I suppose!
