Santon Spare S6212 3kw Element

Post by punt1971 » Fri Nov 29, 2013 12:11 pm

Hi all

I've got me a 70l stainless steel stock pot winging it's way to me from Germany. Now I'm looking at an element for it.
Does anyone use a 'Santon Spare S6212 3kw Element'... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Santon-Spare- ... 2ec7d6bb05

If so, do they work ok? Do you just hard wire them, eg. no kettle lead?

I'll only be doing 5G batches for now, 70l should future proof me though! Also, a 1" qmax is cheaper than a 40mm when I was looking at kettle elements.

Cheers
Punt

Avoid. Lard's elements are lower watt density. Stainless steel. Have shrouds and use the same size hole. No brainer.
