Testing keg for pressure

Post by bitter_dave » Sat May 20, 2006 4:15 pm

I have just been trying the secondhand king keg I bought recently for pressure. I filled it about three quarters full of water and squirted some gas in. The gas came out the whole in the top!

I guess I have to buy a new valve?

Going to try the budget barrels I got as part of the deal now and see if I get on any better with water pressur-fun.

If only I had the money for new stuff :(

Thats a good shout daab - the bottom rubber is definitely the key one and I replace it regularly on my budgy barrels

Cheers guys :)

The gas escaped after I replaced the rubber thing. It has occurred to me that I can take a valve from one of the budget barrels and use it with the king keg, so I may not have to buy new valve afterall.
