been thinking of making up 5 gallons of wine and was wondering if i could store some of it in one of these then just put some in a jug in the fridge to cool? as the container collapses would the wine keep as air wouldnt get in?

I have one of those. I thought I could fill it with beer if I went away for a weekend. But it seems that the tap isn't completely water/air tight. So there is a possibility of oxidizing. Or worse, leaking :o

You can buy purpose made colapsible containers from home brew shops. Much the same as the wine in a box containers you buy your wine in from the supermarkets. Well, I do any way. :D

when I was an uncouth youth  I used to make kit wines and store 5 galls of wine in my budget barrel and then just run off in to a bottle when needed and put in the fridge. Worked really well.
Dont make such large quantities now and let them age in the bottle instead
