Right im putting my shopping list together to start mashing i know theres probably
a list here on what I need but ive read so much now that im getting confused to what i need,im going to be making everything from scratch so this is my list anything else which i might need please could you let me know.

MY BOILER

1 - 33L BUCKET FOR BOILER
1 - TAP FOR BOILER (PLEASE COULD YOU TELL ME WHICH ONE )
2 - ELEMENTS PLUS LEADS


MY MASH TUN


2 - FERMENTING BINS (ARE 28L ONES OKAY AS IVE GOT THEESE)

So you havent got to use a specific tap for the boiler I thought you might have to because there is boiling water comming through.,also when buying taps ,elements etc do they come with seals or have you got to buy them sep.

You should get a nylon tap for the boiler - I think Daab's second pic is one of these. They're more expensive than the ordinary drum tap type but you really don't want boiling wort spewing forth over you when brewing :huh:

My Electrim boiler has the same kind of tap that DaaB has on his. I didn't like the tapered out let, I was worried that when the tubing attached to it heated up it may of fallen off. I tried a jubille clip but that seemed to squeeze it off as well so I replaced it with the Hop & Grape tap which works fine. Had to enlarge the hole in the boiler though.

Also, for fermenting you can always use the outer bucket from your mash tun. Saves you buying extra kit.
