Back in the 80's and visiting Manchester there was a pub openly selling slops @ 25p a pint!!
stoodent pub of course, but it was in the days of Full grants and travel expense claims to cover the overdraft!!!
oh and you could sign on @ christmas easter and over the summer to claim housing benefit and Income support.. (bastards stopped that in my 2nd yr!!)
