Advice on Kegs

Post by kendizle » Thu Feb 08, 2018 12:23 am

Hello all,

I have just purchased two secondhand Kegs, Muntons 5 gallon barrels. I know that once I collect these I should give a good clean and sterilise before using. Also Ive heard that the seals should be replaced every year or after about 4 brews. Im keen to buy these before I collect the barrels. Should I be looking for any particular type of seal, and is it just the seal on the lid or should I also change the seal (and/or) tap?

Thanks

I would wait until you know what you're dealing with. You can then decide if you really need new seals and post some pictures once you have racked up 6 posts of the taps in question.
