Beer tap connector

Post by wezzel01 » Wed Apr 18, 2018 11:40 am

In order to fit 2 cornies in my beer fridge I need to change the tailpiece on the back of the tap shank to a 90 degree one. They seem to only be available from USA or China which means a long wait.

Don’t suppose anyone has found anything similar in the UK.

I’ve tried all the obvious places like Keg Kingdom and eBay.

I think I might have one. If I do you can have it. I'll try and remember to check tonight.

what diameter is the shank, if 5/8" bsp/ntp or smaller?? with JG fittings you can usually fabricate a fitting from 2 or more,, a Female threaded jg adaptor could be used with the shank and adding a 90 degree stem adaptor can provide the required result..

If bigger ?? perhaps a bit of metal plumbing pipe fitting reducers?? but thats getting very expensive..

If I had planned a bit better I would have installed the tap in the centre of the door so that when there are two kegs inside the fridge the tap (on the fridge door) sat between them.

Unfortunately as I only originally intended using one keg at a time I offset the tap to one side. Now when I try to close the door the back of the tap fouls on the keg. If I use a right angle tailpiece the door should just close.

Many thanks for the suggestion but I think if I use John guest fittings they would stick out too far. If Joe can’t help I will just have to order one and wait for delivery.

I’ve got a couple you can have, pm me your address and I’ll get them sent off. Don’t worry about sending me any money for postage, just chuck couple of quid in a charity box next time you see one.
