New Shed Build
I've eventually got around to putting my new man cave up, it's a 24 x 10 workshop. One third of it will have an office in it, the rest will be brewery and shooting/fishing related. I've not brewed for three years since we moved house and I'm really looking forward to getting up and running. I have 100l boiler and HLT and a 50l thermo pot mash tun already to go in, I will also be building a keezer and fermenting fridge - can't wait.
I'm currently aching all over - I can tell I sit on my arse for a living!! I'm waiting for my mate who helped me put it together to turn up as I think I owe him a few pints down the local.

Aye, it's a whopper But I only want to do it once - I really need to get the office bit sorted but the brewery element is feeling more important at the moment !!

I'm slowly working on the shed, I've annexed off a a third to be my office - I need to get this bit finished before I can start on the brewery. Built a partition wall and insulated with some celotex I was donated and rock wool slabs.
I also fitted a double glazed window which was a first for me.

That's a big shed! What size are you going to be brewing at?
Edit: Just noticed you mentioned 100l, got the equipment sorted?, be curious what it looks like!

That’s not a shed, it’s almost a bunlalow
Will make a great brewhouse. I’m moving house in the coming months and plan to have a brew-Shed, though only about half the size of your magnificent errection.

Chris, my set up is the fairly standard bergland stock pot HLT & boiler and thermo pot MT. I've brewed with it many times but it's been in storage for the last couple of years since we moved - I'm really looking forward to getting brewing again. My next job is to build a 3 tier brewery stand, I

We were lucky that we had plenty of space. If you're sticking around the Thirsk area I can really reccomend York Timber Products if you're going to buy a flat pack shed.

It will be whatever is the cheapest shed - ain’t got much cash to spend on such a project, so lots of DIY will be involved. Running water and electric out to the shed might be just as easy via extensions from the kitchen, rather than fixed and ‘plumbed in’ within the shed.Wet Spaniel wrote: ↑Mon Oct 22, 2018 6:29 amWe were lucky that we had plenty of space. I've taken ages finishing things up but I think I'm just about ready to start brewing again after a 3 year hiatus. Just got a tube heater to fit into the big fridge and a pump to buy to transfer boiler to fermenter. I'm really looking forward to getting started again. My office is through the white door in the background so not a too bad commute between work and Brewhouse
