DIY 2-way gas CO2 manifold

Afternoon all.

Looking to make a 2 way CO2 manifold with swivel nut barbs attached so I can remove the tubing with greater ease.

I've seen them on eBay for around £30-£35 with the set up I want but thought I could make one a fair bit cheaper. Using the parts below and a load of PTFE tape, would it work?

Something’s are worth messing about with to save a few bob in homebrewing, not sure messing about with control of highly compressed gas falls into that cat tbh, but that’s just my opinion.

I don't see why not if you are putting this after the main regulator on your CO2 cylinder. They all seem to be components designed for use with compressed air tool systems, which will tend to have a higher working pressure than a CO2 system for beer, most tools work at about 6 or 7 bar, more than you need for beer!

The working is pressure is only a few bar. The fact that you can use barb fittings on CO2 systems is an indication of the relativity low pressure.

Saying that, I'm always careful with this stuff and would recommend a pair of eye shields when working with anything under pressure.

I just use a John Guest splitter where I need two feeds with isolation valves. I also have one way valve (expensive for what they are) before the reg just in case liquid goes up the airline.

Non return at the top and splitters in middle with 2 or 3 and isolation underneath.
If you were uber careful you wouldn’t need the non return, I’m not



I got them off eBay sellers some may have been linked from here, my sizes are 3/8 Gas line
