1/2 bsp tap with male end on tank side

Post by Haydnexport » Tue Jul 02, 2019 6:09 pm

As the title really, I'm looking for a tap with a male thread on the tank side to fit into a female bulkhead i have for my new 120l electric boiler.

Also Im looking at solutions to install a cooling coil through the lid of a 100l insulated thermos pot I've just bought so i can use it as a fermenter. All help gratefully received.

You could just use a regular tap with a running or barrel nipple?
Ingredients: Water, Barley, Hops, Yeast, Seaweed, Blood, Sweat, The swim bladder of a sturgeon, My enemies tears, Scenes of mild peril, An otter's handbag and Riboflavin.

Hi thanks for the replies, ideally i want as little as possible metalwork wise, i have straight nipples, but its just another thing to keep clean. Thanks for the link, I have one of them on order from aliexpress, i was hoping to find a 3 piece one if possible ? The coil is probably going to be a product coil from a maxi type chiller, i have a couple knocking about.

Then measure your OD of the pipe with a vernier gauge and use a compression fitting and a socket with the lid sandwiched in between.
