I could buy a LOT of grain for that price.

I have some primitive automation a GF (old manual controller thank goodness) and a fridge controlled by a STC1000 but I look at the likes of this and wonder Why?

It's not a system that might be used industrially and it's not needed by 99% of home brewers so where's the market?

If it's just Geeky shiny stuff the BrewPi is better and cheaper, sadly I just don't understand, I bought a iSpindle it was fun once even twice but it offered no real benefit and is now lying next to my Sky box.

On the flip side of the coin, a hobby does not have to be done at bare minimum expense. You have to appreciate the feel good factor.

We can all make good beer out of a plastic bucket and a picnic cooler.
