PTFE tape on tap/shank threads

Post by Wet Spaniel » Wed Dec 04, 2019 12:20 pm

Hi all,

I’m putting together my first keezer. I’ve bought some intertap faucets and I was wondering if I should be using PTFE on the threads of the shanks etc. I’d be interested to hear from you kegorator/keezer owners.

Thanks

Jonty

I've not had those faucets myself, hopefully someone with direct experience can comment. But if it is of any use I've had several other types over the years and none have ever needed the threads sealing; they've all been designed for easy disassembly and reassembly for cleaning purposes, so typically use O-rings and so on.
