Hi there again. I am progressing with this a bit and have sought advice on the electric side, but it occured to me that the STC-1000 probe might not be food safe. Does anyone know whether there are any probes / temp controller relays which are definately food safe to be immersed in hot liquid?
I'd rather not use a thermowell because my old hop bazoka filter always caught and ripped my biab bag. It was really annoying and got properly stuck and I ended up with escaped grain getting stuck in my plate chiller. So I would rather not have stuff sticking out that could catch the bag.
Cheers

Hi you could always try https://www.peaksensors.co.uk/food-beverage-catering/
They may have an end sensing thermocouple that just screws into a socket on your vesel.
Worth a try at the very least

Richard

Brewbuilder do a nice short 30mm NTC probe: https://brewbuilder.co.uk/temperature-probes.html
Any shorter then that and I don't think you're going to be measuring the temperature accurately.
