As per title I have Partystar deluxe tap which has worked fine since I first got it. Yesterday i tapped into a new keg and went to pour a pint all was good the usual amount of foam but to my horror would not stop pouring. Normally once handle released it stops but not this time. Anyone any ideas how to repair this?
many thanks.

Re: Partystar deluxe tap won’t stop pouring
It's been a long time since I took one apart but I think the first thing when you have the tap off is to try to separate the metal body from the plastic clip. If you turn it upside down you see the two silver clips from the body. One one side (the side the handle clips into) is a little bit of plastic which stops you being able to turn the body. You need to either bend or break this to get the body off. If you are prepared to do this you can turn the body 90 degrees and pull it apart.
The mechanism to open the tap just pushes against a spring (which you can probably see if you remove the handle). I have not had the problem you describe so I'm not really sure what is going on with yours.
I hope you can follow all that!

many thanks tap still in minikeg at the moment, once empty will attempt to open and have a look at it

It'll be some sort of gunge stopping the tap closing properly.

One question though, do you prime your brews in the mini kegs or only rely on the CO2 from this system?
I have always done both but my last 10l from a 20l batch(2 mini kegs)were all foam and total drainers.
I have an IPA to keg soon so for the first time since i`ve used this system i won`t be priming.
Anyhows hope you sort your problem cos at roughly £50 a time these things are`nt cheap.
