New Brewbuilder 25L fermenter

Post by Jocky » Thu Jun 11, 2020 9:28 am

I just wanted to show others the 'mini' fermenter that is being sold by brewbuilder because I think it's a really nice solution for those of us that use an undercounter fridge as a fermentation chamber.

I've been eyeing one for a while as a way of having a stainless steel fermenter (very easy to clean and sanitise), and while expensive it should last a lifetime. It should fill a corny once fermented (25 litre capacity I think - photo shows 19.5 litres + krausen), inside it's got a racking arm that rotates with the tap so you can pull beer from above the trub line and the lid has toggle clamps with a silicone gasket so is airtight, although definitely not pressure rated.

I'm sorely tempted to add a sampling port and thermowell.

Nice pics.

I have one - it's really well made and good value for money. Well worth the investment if you brew to fill one corny at a time. Couldn't resist the temptation to drill holes in it though...

Cooling coil and thermowell. And repositioned the blow-off tube.

Build and pics here

Nice. Sticking the hole in the lid for a thermowell is very neat and tempting.
