Never used anything other than running the wort from the tap on the boiler to the fermenter plus abit of shaking to aerate. Have been thinking of using compressed air that I have for airguns recently buthaven't triedit yet. Are you suffering with lack of aeration or is it just that you are interested in having a go?

Of course, none of the above answers your question :)

I have no idea where to buy oxygen.

/Phil.

I have a nice shinny stainless air stone that i bought a few years ago. But i cannot get any of my aquarium pump to push air through it even though hop & grape assured me it works with a standard pump (no chance). So i reverted back to the air stones from the pet shop. But i prefer to use shinny things when ever i can.Cheers Rabmaxwell(Brewing in Ayrshire)

I was thinking of buying one of those airstones as I have an aquarium air pump doing nothing. Thanks for the heads up RM!

I've done that too. It's a very effective way of aerating the wort! 8)

Ah, the "inventiveness" of a homebrewer!

Personally, I like to use a performing seal on the end of a snooker cue.

If ever there was proof, that long term exposure to home brew, has serious consequences to your sense of humour....then this is it 8)

Keep up the good work.....time for another pint
