Afternoon all,
I've been recently using one of my fv's for mass-sterilising glass bottles. Despite me giving it a damn good rinsing out every time, it now smells quite heavily of sterilising fluid. Is there anything that can be done to rectify this or have I knackered it for the purposes of brewing?

camden tablets should help mix up a solution and rinse the bottles with it

It's just one of those £9 Youngs plastic fv's. I've not actually brewed in yet. I'll try giving it a few more rinses with boiling water.

A dilute acid solution will really help strip any lingering traces of bleach . . . white Vinegar is good and easily available . . . . . DO NOT USE IT DIRECTLY ON BLEACH THOUGH WITHOUT RINSING FIRST . . . . followed up by a kettle full of hot water shaken in a sealed FV . . .(Let the water cool first before shaking the FV)
