Dettol Surface Cleanser as a sanitizer?

hi guys.......new to brewing so alittle unsure of things but i just wanted to know if Dettol Surface Cleanser can be used as a sanitizer? it says it kills 99.9% or germs and stuff and also its no rinse and safe on food and cooking sufaces so didnt know if it would be ok for my fv??

Dettol surface cleanser is quaternary ammonium based.

These are used in the brewing industry, sort of, but they can seriously affect head retention if I remember rightly.

Brupaks sell Brupaks Stayclean which is intended to be used on kegs etc to keep them clean between disinfection and use.

I'd avoid using this to be honest, especially when bleach is so cheap. If you want something sprayable without spending a fortune, search the forum for acidified bleach.

Caveat emptor, there. Acids + bleach can = bad day.

as Chris says, I'd go for the Thin Bleach from the supermarket, cheapest sanitiser going.
