Cleaning stored equipment

Post by Shoit » Thu May 06, 2010 8:47 pm

I have all my brewing equipment stored in a cellar and am about to brew again for the first time in 8 months.

I have starsan, antiformin-S and VWP at my disposal, what would be the best option for cleaning and sterilsing the fermenter and other equipment before brewing?

Assuming the stuff was all clean when you stored it then all it should need is a rinse in cold tap water to remove the dust then your normal sanitiser, which I assume is Starsan.

Is it fine to just use starsan on it's own? I've always just used VWP previously! I had a bit of a buying spree on the cleaning front.
