Sanitize then leave for a few days?

Post by Wooderson » Sat Jul 24, 2010 12:13 pm

Hi, so it didn't become one long job i sanitized some bottles earlier this week and placed a crown cap on albeit loosely.I'm now wondering whether these will still be good to use or should you sanitize immediately prior to bottling?

Thanks

If you use a no rinse sanitiser it's always best to give your bottles a wash with it just prior to bottling.
However, if they have had caps on them, its not too likely they will have picked up any nasties, so you can probably get away with simply using them directly - depends on how pedantic you wish to be about sanitation.

Thanks, i'm going to switch to a no-rinse next time i'm ordering supplies. This was the stuff that needed a rinse,i'd like to be able to do it a few days in advance so bottling doesn't become such a chore.
