Bleach

Can bleach be used with stainless steal (corny kegs) providing you dont leave it in for extended periods of time?

What sort of concentration would sanitize a well cleaned corny after say, 20 minutes (or even less)?

I hope so, because I do
(EDIT: By that I mean that I do use it, though not for extended periods)

currently I use 50ml or so of thin unsented bleach (the 28p per 2l kind) per litre of water for about 10 mins to clean. I previously also used it at 10ml per L to sanitise, but these days have gone to starsan for that instead.

Seems that most effective cleaners attack stainless to some degree though, so the rule is usually go for the minimum contact time thats effective. But whilst thats fine for sanitisers its a rule that I struggle with for cleaning because that can be as long as a piece of string.

Well you can ... but you should not:

... etc

About 2ml/L of 3% (plain, cheap, unscented) bleach mixed with water and then 2ml/L vinegar is sufficient to be a very good disinfectant.
