You need a supermarket with a pharmacy counter - the sort of place where you can get prescriptions made up and staffed by people in white coats. You might want to stock up on it. The EU iodine "ban" is real but I don't know how far it reaches. I was in a camping shop at the weekend and they have a sign explaining why they are no longer allowed to sell iodine-based water purification products. The tone of the sign was very definitely "they are idiots for banning it but we have to comply".
