hi can i use a citric acid solution to clean my imersion chiller,was going to get some on ebay if its ok to use or does anyone no of a better copper cleaner,i'd like to fill up my hlt with a solution and let it sit over night? so that leads to another question now, can citric acid be used for stainless steel as well :o ,any ideas

just googled citric acid on metals and its fine on copper and stainless steel,its basically said as its food grade its safe on most metals and used widely in metal and food industry's :lol: hope this helps you lot,paul

If you fill up the HLT and bring it to a boil that will probably shift most of the deposits without soaking it overnight. It'll clean your elements too.
