Could give unwanted tastes smells and hard to know the dilution rates that are appropriate, stains as well!

In short, why bother when you can get star san that was developed for breweries and dairies?

£12.50 will make up 283 litres which is usable as a spray so err that would be a lifetimes worth wouldn't it?

If you are going to use an idophor I'd suggest using one that others use, which means Videne or the Brupaks one (if it's still available).
If cost is an issue then thin supermarket "value" bleach is the way.

Thanks Boingy I posted that before I bought the Videne, its just for sanitizing my Cornies I use bleach for my F.V.s.
I had to pay about twice the price for it as I never had a prescription, OH works in the hospital I'll see if she can pick it up there.
