I have a Rotokeg that has been in the garage for about two years with beer in it, I ignored it cos I wasn't impressed with the John Bull bitter kit that I put in there, I am selling the keg to a mate so I thought I would give it a clean before I pass it on, so I opened the cap to pour the beer away and give it a clean, the smell when I had a sniff was like a mixture of nail varnish and pear drops
Is the keg risky or can I give it a good clean and sanitise as usual or do I need to be more thorough 
If so what would you guys recommend to make the keg safe to hold beer again Thanks as always
