cleaning hydrometer post test

Hi,

just took a gravity reading and was wondering how i go about cleaning and sterilising my hydrometer?

given that i use a trial jar, do i need to clean and sterilise the hydrometer & trial jar?

If you are going to return the sample back to the FV then you will have to be scrupulous and make sure everything is physically clean and then chemically clean with a steriliser or sanitiser.

if you are binning the sample each time then it doesn't matter as long as the equipment does not come into contact with the wort.
