Beer line cleaning

Post by nutmeg31415 » Tue Sep 18, 2012 8:31 am

Hi, Due to a lack of corney kegs, I currently sterilise the keg and beer line at the same time, and then fill the keg, wait a month for it to mature and then connect it up the the previously cleaned lines. My question is should I leave the line for that month dry? or should I leave it filled with water? Or is there anything else I should be doing,

Thank you

Clean, it, drain it, dry it. Store dry.

If you leave it with water inside there is more likelihood of stuff growing. A clean, dry surface is not of much interest to most nasties.

Thank you, As its connected at one end to a keg disconnect and the other end the tap, to dry it can I just fire gas through till its as dry as possible and then leave the tap open?
