I have just bought some 2 litres Sparkling Water PET bottles from tesco.

Do i need to clean/sterilise them or can i dump the water down the sink and use them straight off.

I bought still water and used it for my brew then saved the bottles for bottling rather than dump them down the drain, regardless I sterilized as I had left them empty a week. I suppose if you are going to empty them and use them straight away there is not much chance of contamination particularly with sparkling water but if it was me I would still sanitise.

Sanitise, a spray of Vidine solution made up to 1.25 ml/L, couple of squirts and turn upside down to drain, then use when ready.
