QUOTE (Daft as a Brush @ Apr 22 2006, 11:28 AM)Of course there's Iodophor too, available from Brupaks at around £4.50 for 250mls or from the chemist sold as Standardised 'Betadine, antiseptic solution' aqueous.
It may have to be ordered in by the chemist but at £3.50 for 500 mls its worth it. It needs a 10 min contact time, doesnt require rinsing and works well in a hand spray.
The required concentration is 1/2 tsp to 1L luke warm water, it remains effective all the time the solution remains amber in colour. It must be used in the correct does, too much and it actualy looses its effectivenes.
I really recommend this stuff, its cheap, easily available, no rinse and effective, I beleive it is also used by the agricultural industry.
Well, this stuff sounds really interesting. Particularly if you can use it as a surface spray --- a sort of all-in-one product has its attractions from the point of view of simplicity. (Which I like becasue it makes things easy and because I'm simple

However...
