sanitising chlorine tablets

Post by FlippinMental » Thu Oct 12, 2006 8:23 pm

anyone used clo-tabs XXX tablets for sanitising. supplied by arrowchem www.arrowchem.com. instructions read, 'dessolve 1 tablet in 5 ltr water to produce sanitising solution containing 500ppm available chlorine. apply solution to surface, allow 2minutes contact time then rinse'. recommended for dairy equipment, food prep surfaces, milk tanks, etc.

this any good for home brew uses?

reading past post on chlorine use i must admit to being surprised about the recommended soak of 2mins.
the guys that use this stuff stick them in fresh water tanks used by the general public.
