It was really bugging me that the Americans had different gallons, yet their inches and pounds were the same, so I looked it up on wikipedia. Apparently, back in the day, a gallon meant different things depending on what you were measuring, so you had a corn gallon, a wine gallon, an ale gallon, a gummi bear gallon, a slightly off milk gallon and a really off milk gallon and a load of other gallons.OldSpeckledBadger wrote: It's an American product isn't it, it which I'd image it means their inferior gallons.
