old FV as bleach bath

so anyone else keep an old FV full of dilute thin bleach for sterilising bottles?

how often do you change your bleach?

how long does bleach stay "bleachy"?

or is this a mad thing to do for some reason?

cheers!

I do half of your idea. After a fermentation I clean the FV and fill with bleach solution. It stays like that till I need it for the next brew. During that time I chuck everything in the FV and leave it to sanitise. I then run off the solution into bottles which I use a week later for the finished brew. The whole method may be 3 weeks between brews..........no problems yet. I have heard that the solution has a life span, but I can't help with what the time is :?
