Somehow I got wort scorched onto the kettle element of my boiler, even though it was completely submerged the whole time.
Is there a miracle cleaner that will get this burnt-on gunk off?
I've tried oven spray which helps a bit but I'm still looking at a lot of scrubbing.
I know kettles are cheap but it seems a terrible waste to just buy a new one if it can be saved.
Scorched wort on element
Re: Scorched wort on element
There's a few tips here.

Re: Scorched wort on element
If its burt black and taken the plating off then I would replace the element as it will lead to the element tripping, as I found out!

Re: Scorched wort on element
Mine tripped all the time when it was clean, I ended up having to disable the boil dry trip.
Note, you should not do that, and I won't tell you how to do it.
