Hi
Sorry to hijack the thread but can you guys tell me how much you are paying for Videne? I just went to Boots to order some and they wanted over £9!!! (this was for 500ml and the underlying cost on their system seemed to be £3.80 odd!)

Do you get it online (which surely means the dreaded P+P) or get it from a "local" Chemist or somewhere else?!

Ta muchly!

Suggest you tell Boots where to put it. Mine came from the local village chemist. It is not an especially cheap chemist and it cost around £4 about a year ago. He had to order it in so it took 1 working day to get it.
Any pharmacy counter should be able to order it, e.g Tesco.

Make sure you are ordering Videne Antiseptic Solution rather than one of the other versions.

About £4 from Boots (Oxford) for 500ml... unsure why are they trying to charge you £9 for it, but I would question the price - there shouldn't be a £5 mark up at all...

I paid nearly £5 from a local chemist, knew it was a bit over the top but then I could walk to it so figured I'd just pay it, they got it in next day...

£4-£5 is reasonable. Pharmacist ordered mine for £4.56, there was no extra charge for ordering.
I brew therefore I ... I .... forget

just got a 500ml bottle from the doctors/pharmarcy over the road, and it was ordered at 11am, and arrived by 4pm.
cost £5.20.

just ask, any pharmacy should be able to order it in.
