Prosan + and cornies

Post by softlad » Thu Apr 22, 2010 10:18 pm

I've been given 2 gallons of prosan + beer line cleaner which contains Sodium Hydroxide and Sodium Hypochlorite

The label has all sorts of warnings about this being corrosive and an acid but I was wondering if this would be safe to dispense through the lines (at the stated dosage) in a cornie if I cleaned out the cornie as soon as I'd flushed it through the lines

Any thoughts ? Will it dissolve my cornies ?

thanks Chris

this states to use at 10ml / litre too. Its a purple liquid (to indicate its presence I'd expect) and is badged up as beer line cleaner for one of the brewing corporates (cant remember which one)

I'll clean the lines out from a cornie in this case and will try it in place of soda crystals for cornie cleaning
