Star San suppliers

Post by Befuddler » Mon Jul 26, 2010 4:24 pm

I want to switch over to a no-rinse sanitiser and Star San seems the most highly regarded, I'm just wondering where you all get it from.. The only supplier I can find is Hop & Grape and I don't fancy paying nearly 5 quid delivery for a bottle. I can't even find it on ebay. Any tips?

Cheers.

If anyone from the island of Ireland is interested, www.thehomebrewcompany.ie has the 32oz bottle for 20 yoyos, the 8oz for 8yoyos and the 32oz saniclean for 15yoyos. They also now have free delivery for orders over 30 yoyos

What's saniclean like? Any good? Is it like an alternative to VWP (i.e. cleaner and steriliser?)

Troublesome? I thought that was the good bit - breaks down as odourless/flavouress and is eaten by the yeastr, ensures it sticks to things. I use wilkinsons oxyclean as easy cleaner, rinse out and then use foamy starsan - SO MUCH easier and more effective at cleaning/sterilising than VWP hassles. THough I believe StarSan doesn't work for mould or wild yeasts though so still keep VWP about...
