Barrel cap with S30

What do you use to disinfect a barrel cap that has a copper (or is it brass?) S30 valve attached?

It's brass. I just wipe it with diluted thin bleach (my brew box has a cloth just for brewing), leave it in contact for a couple of minutes, then rinse.

So I suppose you could also spray the cap and S30 with Star San and then rinse with pre-boiled water to stop it eating the metal?
