Percarbonate on copper - max contact time?

Post by Kev888 » Sat Jan 22, 2011 2:39 pm

Hi all,

I'm giving my copper HLT a soak in percarbonate solution, mixed at 1tablespoon/gal. I understand that its safer than most cleaners for copper, but is anyone aware of there still being a limit on contact time?

Cheers

If you've got hard water it's going to scale up in 20 mins or so. Well, it does for me anyway!

Fortunately its not too bad here and (unlike my demijohns) I can get in with a non-stick scrubby pad so hopefully all will be well -I'll still empty before it can build up too much though, thanks for reminding me!
