Cleaning Conical Flasks

I find a couple of ml of CRS gets me a spotless finish.

After growing yeast, I use hot water with a powder (oxi or steriliser) and a bottle brush. When rinsed and drained there are usually a few streaks here and there so I sacrifice two or three ml of CRS and manoeuvre flask to cover each streak. It only takes a few minutes to cover the inside of the flask. I do it over a basin of cold water in case of spillage. All sparkly-new. I expect vinegar or citric acid would achieve the same but need more contact time.

some pure water in a squirty bottle is good for rinsing out and leaving streak free.
i got 5l of lab grade pure water delivered from these guys for less than it would cost to buy deionised water from the garage.
