Mine (Brupaks stuff) says 1/2 teaspoon which I think is 2.5ml per litre.

I find that concentration is too strong for no rinse. I just add enough for a faint amber colour which is more like 1/2ml per litre.

1 Teaspoon = 5ml

Iodophor can be used as a RINSE sanitiser at 2.5ml per litre of water

and

as a NO RINSE sanitiser at 1.25ml per litre of water.

I thought Brupaks Iodophor was always a RINSE product as it contains other additives to aid cleaning (which normal Iodophor isn't used for).

"Brupaks Iodophor is a powerful acid based liquid iodophor formulation containing wetting agents to increase penetration, removal and suspension of soils. The acidic constituents remove scale, increase bactericidal and virucidal efficiency of the iodophor and provide chemical cleaning power. "

Now I am confused. I thought Brupaks Iodphor was just normal Iodophor with Brupaks stamped on the bottle.

I have always used it at a rate of 1.25ml per litre of water and never rinsed, just let it drip dry as much as possible.

Perhaps I should be rinsing

I followed the basic brewing podcast of no rinse Iodophor as 2 cap fulls per 20liters, supposable you can drink a bit of it with out any effects

So, just to clear it up Brupaks Iodophor can be used in the way I mentioned?

so does that mean it at the same strength as the American stuff?

Should this be a sticky? For those who might miss it...

Or maybe a FAQ on the different sanitizers available with recommended no-rinse dilution strengths?

(I'm not volunteering, but it would be handy to have a reference post!) :)

Grand - I look forward to it. It'll be one to print out and keep handy on brew days :)

Thanks

So, for Brupaks Iodophor, should I still be using at 1.25ml per litre of water as a no rinse?

:? I am confused.
