How to brew all grain beer - Tips, Timings and Equipment

Post by Monkeybrew » Mon May 12, 2014 1:30 pm

EDIT by Jim: so the correct code is

Code: Select all

Which is how I inserted the video below.

I found this video really clear and helpful on my journey in understanding the All Grain brewing process.

Cheers

all you should need is the youtube video ID, the part after 'v=' in the video web address (that video ID is 3iQefnKHvxs) between the tags, but it doesn't appear to work on here, for example:

Cheers!

You need to copy the full URL of the playing video from the address bar of your browser. If you put search results URL as per above it won't work. I've corrected your post and put an explanation MB. :)

I thought that would make it easier for most people than having to strip out the video ID.

Should still have worked if it was the URL of the actual video - yours was a search URL.

(NOTE: I edited my reply after a moment's thought in case you read the original)

+1 Thats the setup I am building, albeit without the pump. He is a very helpful bloke to talk to on the phone too.

I pointed this out once before. I'm sure it was a genuine mistake though, on balance it shows the basics.

The fact he says "I mash higher because I like a more dry beer" suggests a misunderstanding on his part rather than simply mis-speaking, but nobody knows everything and it's a good video on the basics - I'm not convinced the 1 degree he is speaking about really makes any difference anyway.

He also seems to says low flow rate through the immersion chiller speeds up cooling, which is also backwards.

Good video for making AG seem less scary though =D>
