I am now able to control fermentation temperatures
Is it beneficial to raise the temperature at the end of an Ale fermenting like you would with a lager or is it best to keep it a stable temp?

If you are getting problems with diacetyl, then doing a 2 degree rise towards the end of fermentation will clear it up.
Otherwise no need to faff with it.

Thanks Sumofallbeers. I can't taste any Diacetyl so I won't faff

If a brew completes primary in 4 days or sooner which can happen with temp control, i will bump the temp upto 21-22c from 18-19C just to clean up the brew a bit for a day before crashing the temp for kegging. though i will rarely do so if the primary takes 5+days
ist update for months n months..
