What's in your water

(That's water to the rest of us!) Beer is about 95% water, so if you want to discuss water treatment, filtering etc this is the place to do it!

What's in your water

Did anyone see the program presented by Andrew Marr last night? Britain from the Air it was called, or something like that.

Raw sewage is pumped into big tanks/filters and 1 week later it comes out the other end and straight back into the water mains. So this morning my Monday morning cup of tea used water I flushed down the bog last week.

I think I am going to start boiling my brewing water for 3 days solid before brewing with it

It's been that way for decades, mate.
Doesn't matter if its from the sewers or a spring, it all gets sedimented and treated and generally made clean and tasty.

This is a good read.
