Jubby, could you email it me as well please (use the forum email address, hbforum-nospam'at'jimsbeerkit.co.uk). I'll stick it on the server and post a link.jubby wrote:queenaudio, if you pm me your email, i will send a reply with a scanned attachment of the kit instructions from DaaB. Jim/Queenaudio, message sent. Sorry about the poor quality.

Thanks so much Jubby! From a quick browse of the instructions it seems to me that the only part of the kit hard to source is the indicator. When I have had a chance to test out what I have got, I will happily post out a sample to others to try out, assuming you can get a syringe and pipette - there is only so much I can borrow from work

OK, thanks. I now have a pdf of the instructions, which you can dowload by clicking the link below: -

I've also added the same link to this page.

I managed to do a few tests last night and found it only took 2.5ml of the test solution to reach the end point, giving me a total alkalinity of just 45. I suspected that it would be low as I am in a soft water area and I only need 0.1ml of CRS per L to acheive a slightly lower value of 27. That, and the addition of gyspsum and calcium chloride are all that is needed according to Graham's calculator, we shall see what effect it has on my next brew.
Like I said, if anyone wants a sample of the indicator, let me know

I think the link to the instructions is an old doc. It was created on the 22.4.08. I believe the pdf that Jim has is the final doc, it was created about 5.5.08.
Only someone who has received the final instructions in printed form can confirm this, or Daab.
The link to the pics is in the pdf and works. The test_no. link does not and presumably the email is defunct.

Personal reasons, Skinfull. See here for details.skinfull wrote:Did not know DaaB had finished on the forum was there any particular reason.
