(That's water to the rest of us!) Beer is about 95% water, so if you want to discuss water treatment, filtering etc this is the place to do it!

Have any of you played 'round with his spreadsheet? http://www.howtobrew.com/section3/chapter15-3.html
It's at the bottom, in both US and metric units. It's a little confusing, but interesting nonetheless.

Yeah, I agree. It's not very efficient.

How strong is CRS compared to 88% lactic acid? I added .25 cc's/ml of lactic acid to 23L water. That's a pretty small amount, but it's pretty strong acid. My alkalinity starts off at 93 expressed as CaCo3.

What's confusing to me is I use cc's. I measure my acid with a syringe that starts at 0.1 and ends with 1.0.
So, .4 ml x 23L = 9.2 ml, which equates to 0.3110890075420592 ounces. That's basically 1/3 of an ounce.
.3 of an ounce is 8.9 cc's. I need a bigger syringe.
